What happens at our Sunday meetings?
Our Sunday morning meeting starts at 10.30am. When you arrive you will be greeted by one of our stewards at the door and given one of our weekly noticesheets. There are a few minutes of extra notices given out at the beginning of the meeting and after that we spend some time giving our attention to God through songs and prayers. We have a small music group (a mixture of keyboard, guitar, drums and singer) to lead us and all our songs words are projected onto a large screen. There is generally an opportunity to offer prayers of thanks and praise to God out loud if people feel that they wish to do this. After a few songs, the children and teens leave us to spend some time together in their separate groups (Creche, Sunday Club and God Squad). The rest of us then listen to a reading from the bible and a talk that will help us to understand more about God's word and how it is relevant to our lives today.
We have a communion service every third Sunday and for this we take the bread and the wine at our seats. Those who do not wish to take communion are free to just sit and not participate without any embarrassment. There is usually an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service for those who want it. Our time together usually ends at about midday and then there's time for a chat together over tea/coffee. The morning service is quite informal and we would suggest that if you don't normally come to a church meeting, the morning service would be a good introduction.
 A typical Sunday morning gathering
Our Sunday evening meeting starts at 6.30pm. This is a much quieter time with a smaller group meeting together. There is a time of singing but there is no music group at the evening service - sometimes backing CDs are used instead. Again, those who meet will listen to a reading from the Bible and then a talk.
When should I arrive?
It's a good idea to arrive about ten minutes before the service begins.
Do I need to wear anything special?
Just come as you are - there are no rules.
What about those with disabilities?
We have a 'loop' system installed for the hearing impaired. We can accommodate wheelchairs. If you have any specific needs, please do not hesitate to contact us.
